What a fun session yesterday. This wonderful couple was the high bid on a donation I gave to Arizona Animal Welfare League. They rescued all three of these sweet dogs over the years, and with Ceasar getting up there in age (and starting to have some health issues) they decided it was time to capture these memories now with a pet photography session. I am so glad they made that decision, and I know they are too. We had a fun time with the three dogs (and the couple's two young sons - who did a great job too) and here are just a few of the images we created. Enjoy the sneak peak. . . and I'll get to work on the rest of them and try to post more later in the week.

I call this one "Yappy Feet"

"Who's Your Daddy?"

"Best Friends"
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion." Unknown
Thanks to this couple for being such wonderful people (and obviously worthy of the devotion from the dogs), and to all of you who rescue and care for these lovely animals.

It's that time of year again. I love photographing seniors! Here are a few favorites from a recent session. Dana... you are awesome and I really enjoyed this portrait session.

"If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it." Good luck to all the high school seniors on your graduation!

I am winding down the "busy season" and looking back over the past year and all the wonderful clients I have had the pleasure of photographing... and then the mail came today and I recieved a thank you note from a Cave Creek couple that I had done a "Day in the Life" portrait session with over the summer. We put together a coffee table book (and a few other items) from the wonderful images we captured that day, and they decided to exchange the book and a lovely canvas gallery wrap as their holiday gifts to each other. So I wrappped them up for them to open on Christmas day. Here is what they had to say in the note I got today:
"We can't begin to express our sounds of delight as we opened our photo book. It is absolutely perfect. We keep going back to look at it and we marvel at how beautiful each page came out. You did such a fantastic job of taking the right shots to capture the personality, then selecting the order of each page. This is a treasure of a lifetime for us..."
It goes on, but you get the idea. I am so very fortunately to not only do what I love for a living, but to be able to create such joy and memories for my clients as well. So I thank all of my clients from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to capture your memories in the portraits that I create. I know you have a choice when it comes to picking a photographer, and I am just so grateful that you have picked me.
May beautiful moments and happy memories surround you with joy in 2012.

Beat the holiday rush and save money too! Book your portrait session for September or October and half of your session fee will be applied to your order. I know it is still hot out there, but consider a studio session, or a session inside your home. Early mornings outdoors are getting tolerable too, so get up early and we can do an outside location photo session before it warms up too much. So call Spicer Photography today and let's plan your next family portrait, or a portrait session of just the kids or pets.

This week is your chance to take advantage of an excellent deal to get your pet photographed at Spicer Photography for a donation to Friends of Animal Care & Control ("Friends"). Your donation to "Friends" (at least $50) will get you a studio session and 5x7 (a $180 value by the way). "Friends" mission is to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable dogs and cats in Maricopa County. This is a win-win opportunity, so call today and make you appointment. Spicer Photography is located in far north Scottsdale. If for some reason you can't make it here for this event, I will donate $50 of my on-location session fee to "Friends" for any pet portrait session held during the month of August. Hope to see you soon!
